    What is this product and who is it for?

    Mountval Polar Wash 300 ml is a detergent for fleece, softshell and light outdoor and sports clothing. It is intended for fleece, microfleece, stretch and softshell fabrics, and also for synthetic fibres, viscose and cotton. It removes dirt, stains and odour, refreshes the colour, softens the fabric and is made not to block its thermoregulating properties.

    What problem does it solve?

    With an ordinary detergent, fleece and softshell turn rough, start to pill and lose their warmth and moisture management, so the layer feels unpleasant against the skin. Mountval Polar Wash 300 ml cleans these fabrics gently, refreshes the colour and leaves them soft. A limit: when the DWR finish and membrane care matter most, a special detergent for technical clothing is a better fit.

    How do you use it step by step?

    Step 1

    Empty the pockets and close the zips.

    Step 2

    In the machine pour 75 ml into the main wash compartment.

    Step 3

    By hand: 75 ml in 15 litres of water.

    Step 4

    Choose the temperature and the programme according to the care label.

    Step 5

    Dry as the care label says, away from direct heat.

    Fabric softener must not be used on technical fabrics: it coats the fibres and reduces their functional properties.

    What is this product not suitable for?

    • •It does not match a special detergent for membranes. When DWR and membrane care matter most, choose Mountval Wash & Care 315 ml.
    • •Not suitable for down filled items. For down there is Mountval Down Wash 300 ml.
    • •Do not use fabric softener. It harms technical fabrics.
    • •It does not impregnate. Rain resistance comes from a separate product used after washing and full drying.

    Yes, softshell and stretch fabrics are one of its main uses. If the jacket has a membrane and the care of that membrane matters most, Wash & Care is a better fit.

    How much detergent should I use?

    Is it suitable for cotton?

    Yes. The manufacturer names synthetic fibres, viscose and cotton alike.

    Will fleece repel water after washing?

    No. This is a detergent. If you need rain resistance, treat the item with Textile Shield after washing and full drying.

    Can I use fabric softener?

    Not on technical fabrics. Softener coats the fibres and reduces the moisture management of the material.
