Which waterproof backpack should you choose?
Finntrail backpacks and bags keep your things safe from rain, spray and mud off-road, in a boat or on a hike. - •Staying underwater for long. The specifications of the IP66 backpacks and bags state only brief submersion.
- •A phone or documents in BELTBAG 1726 without an extra case: the bag resists rain and spray but is not sealed.
- •When you need your things often and quickly. A roll-top closure has to be rolled several times, so it is slower than a zip.
Frequently asked questions
What does IP66 mean on a backpack?
It is a protection rating: the first digit 6 means dust does not get in, the second that it withstands powerful water jets. The Finntrail specifications also state that these bags float and withstand brief submersion.
Backpack or dry bag for an ATV?
If you carry your things on the ATV, choose SATELLITE 1721: strap loops and removable elastic fasteners hold it down on the rack. Choose a backpack when you will also walk on from the ATV.
What is a MUDBAG bag for?
Wet and muddy kit after fishing or the trail. MUDBAG 1722 and MUDBAG BIG 1734 have a waterproof construction and welded seams, so the inside of your car stays clean.
What backpack volume do I need?
For a day hike or fishing a 20 or 30 litre backpack is enough, such as TARGET 1716 or TRACE 1711. For a trip of several days choose EXPEDITION 1730 (40 l) or RANGER 1708 (50 l).
