Finntrail · Lightweight gloves
Which lightweight gloves should you choose?
Finntrail lightweight gloves are made for spring, summer and autumn, when grip and finger sensitivity matter more than warmth. The range includes neoprene gloves for fishing and work in wet conditions, and light ventilated or fabric gloves for ATV riding and enduro. For fishing in damp weather the neoprene EAGLE 2840 suits most people.
How to choose, who they are not for, and FAQ
Who they are for
- •Fishing in damp, cool weather: neoprene keeps you warm even when wet.
- •ATV riding and enduro in the warm season: ATOM 2842 and ENDURO 2732 are ventilated and have a reinforced palm.
- •Hunters and work with small gear: NEOSENSOR 2731 has three open fingertips.
How to choose
First decide whether your hands will be wet. If so, choose neoprene. If ventilation and protection from abrasion while riding matter more, choose ventilated or fabric gloves.
Type Best for Models Neoprene Fishing and work in wet conditions when it is cool. EAGLE 2840, NEOGUARD 2740 (silicone palm) Neoprene with open fingers When you need to tie on a lure precisely or work with small tools. NEOSENSOR 2731 Ventilated motocross ATV riding and enduro in warm weather, so your hands do not sweat. ATOM 2842 (touchscreen), ENDURO 2732 Protective fabric Long rides and active leisure: protect your palm from blisters and abrasion. EAGLE 2841 What lightweight gloves are not for
- •Winter. Lightweight gloves have no insulation; for the cold choose warm gloves.
- •A hot day, if the gloves are neoprene. Neoprene does not breathe, so the ventilated ATOM 2842 or ENDURO 2732 are more comfortable then.
- •Riding in the rain in EAGLE 2841 or ATOM 2842. They have neither a membrane nor neoprene, so they do not keep out the rain.
Frequently asked questions
Are neoprene gloves waterproof?
Neoprene is water resistant, but it is not a membrane: moisture will get inside. Wet neoprene still keeps you warm, so EAGLE 2840, NEOGUARD 2740 and NEOSENSOR 2731 suit fishing in damp, cool weather.
What is the difference between EAGLE 2840 and EAGLE 2841?
EAGLE 2840 are neoprene gloves with synthetic leather reinforcements, made for wet conditions. EAGLE 2841 are thin fabric gloves with synthetic suede reinforcements: they protect your palm from blisters and abrasion while riding.
Which gloves suit ATV riding in summer?
For ATV riding and enduro in warm weather choose ATOM 2842 or ENDURO 2732: both are ventilated and have a reinforced palm. ATOM 2842 also has a perforated palm and touchscreen capability.
What are open fingertips for?
NEOSENSOR 2731 has three open fingertips so you can tie on a lure, change gear or work with small tools without taking the glove off. The other two fingers and the palm stay covered in neoprene.
