From +15 °C to −15 °C is the widest range among our base layers. In practice it means one set instead of two.
Elastane lets you move
Elastane holds the fabric against the body, so moisture is wicked more effectively and movement stays free.
Dries quickly
Polyester with polyamide dries far faster than cotton, so on a trip you can wash the set in the evening.
Care
Wash at 30 °C on a gentle cycle, ideally with a liquid detergent. Do not use fabric softener: it coats the fibres and the base layer stops wicking moisture. Dry flat, away from radiators and direct sun.

How does layering work?
The first layer wicks moisture from the skin, the second holds warmth, the third keeps out wind and water. A base layer is the first of these: its job is not to warm you but to stop you getting wet from the inside. It is damp skin, not cold air, that usually decides whether you get cold.
Does it work in summer too?
The upper limit is +15 °C, so it works for a cool summer morning or evening. On a hot day you do not need a base layer at all.
How does it differ from the TACTIC?
