    What is this product and who is it for?

    Mountval Waterproofing Refresher 300 ml is an impregnation for textile and equipment that is poured into the rinse or applied by hand. It is made for rain and hiking clothing with membranes, for jackets, trousers, tents, textile footwear, backpacks and sports equipment. It suits technical fabrics with membranes, including GORE-TEX.

Mountval Waterproofing Refresher 300 ml solves this with a rinse cycle, during which the product reaches the whole fabric equally. The limit: the product does not repair tears, leaking seams or a damaged membrane, and a dirty item has to be washed first.

    Fabric softener must not be used: it coats the fabric and reduces the water repellency.

    How do you use it step by step?

    Step 1

    If the item is dirty, wash it first.

    Step 2

    Pour 75 ml of the product into the rinse or softener compartment, this amount is enough for two items.

    Step 3

    To wash and treat in one cycle, add Wash & Care to the main wash compartment.

    Step 4

    By hand: spread the product evenly with a sponge or a cloth.

    Step 5

    Dry naturally, and if the label allows it, the heat of a tumble dryer helps to set the water repellency.

    The dose of 75 ml for two items is the manufacturer instruction for this product. Choose the temperature and the programme according to the care label of the item.

    What is this product not suitable for?

    • •It does not repair tears or leaking seams. A damaged membrane is not restored by the product either.
    • •It does not replace a detergent. It does not wash dirt out, so a detergent for technical clothing is needed before it.
    • •It is not compatible with fabric softener. Softener reduces the water repellency and is not suitable for technical fabrics.
    • •It is not for local treatment. For a single area the spray on Mountval Textile Shield 300 ml is handier.
