Finntrail ATHLETIC CamoShadowBlack 1532 Waders
Membrane bib waders for wade fishing and off-road, when you need to stay dry from the feet up. A four-layer HARD-TEX® membrane with a DWR finish, integrated neoprene socks, YKK® zippers and 3M™ reflective trims: 20,000 mm protection from water and mud that still breathes and lets you move.
Who they are for
Made for the wade angler and the ATV / off-road rider who wants reliable, hard-wearing protection from water and mud across the whole body up to the chest.
- •Wade fishing, when you stand in the water for hours and need to stay completely dry.
- •Off-road, ATVs and motorbikes, where there is plenty of mud, moisture and water.
- •Changeable outdoor weather, when one set handles both water and wind.
When they shine
They perform best wading in the water and riding off-road, where cheap PVC waders don’t let your body breathe, you sweat inside, or they split at the seams after one season.
Technical specs
Materials & technology
HARD-TEX® 4-layer membrane
A microporous membrane with billions of pores smaller than a water drop and larger than a vapour molecule: it stops water from outside yet lets sweat vapour escape, so you don’t overheat even standing in the water.
DWR finish
A thin water- and dirt-repellent finish on the outer layer: water beads and rolls off, the fabric wets out less and dries faster.
Integrated neoprene socks
Snug neoprene socks seal off the waders at the foot. You choose wading boots separately, and the hooks hold the sock in place.
3M™ reflective elements
Reflect light back toward its source for better visibility at dusk, on the water and off-road.
How they differ from a cheaper option
Care
Hand wash up to 30 °C with a dedicated membrane wash (Mountval Wash & Care), without softener or bleach: ordinary detergent clogs the membrane. When water stops beading, restore the water repellency (DWR) with an impregnator (Mountval Textile Shield). Dry naturally, not on a radiator or in the sun. Rinse the neoprene socks with fresh water after fishing and dry them well.
Frequently asked questions
Are the boots included?
No. The waders have integrated neoprene socks, and you choose wading boots separately in your size. There are hooks to attach the boots so the sock stays put when you pull them on.
Do these waders breathe, or will I sweat?
They breathe: breathability is 7,000 g/m²/24h. The HARD-TEX® membrane lets sweat vapour out while keeping water off from outside, so you stay dry inside even when active, unlike cheap PVC waders.
What is the waterproof rating?
The membrane is 4-layer HARD-TEX®, water resistance 20,000 mm, breathability 7,000 g/m²/24h, surface treated with a DWR finish, YKK® zippers. Built for prolonged contact with water.
Are they good for both fishing and off-road?
Yes. These are versatile waders: for wade fishing you stay dry up to the chest, and for ATV or off-road they protect you from mud, moisture and wind. The articulated cut and elastic waist keep you moving freely.
How do I care for membrane waders?
Hand wash up to 30 °C with a dedicated membrane wash (Mountval Wash & Care), without softener, and restore the water repellency with an impregnator (Mountval Textile Shield). Rinse the neoprene socks with fresh water and dry naturally, away from radiators: proper care keeps both the waterproofing and the breathability.

How to Choose the Correct FINNTRAIL Wader Size?
Choosing the correct wader size is one of the most important factors for comfort, freedom of movement and long-term durability. Waders that are too small may restrict movement and place excessive stress on seams, while oversized waders may reduce comfort and make active movement less efficient.
FINNTRAIL waders are designed to provide enough room for thermal and insulating layers while maintaining complete freedom of movement. Therefore, the size chart is based on body measurements, not the actual dimensions of the waders.
Measure Your Largest Girth
The first and most important measurement is your largest body girth. In most cases, this is either your hips or waist/stomach circumference, depending on which area is larger.
Measure: around the widest part of your body while keeping the measuring tape comfortably snug without tightening it.This measurement usually determines whether your waders will remain comfortable while walking, sitting, climbing or taking large steps.
Measure Your Inseam Length
The second important measurement is the inseam length.
Measure from the crotch down to the ankle along the inside of the leg. This measurement helps determine whether the wader length will be suitable for your height.
Important: If you are taller or shorter than average for your body circumference, consider choosing extended sizes (ML, LL, XLL) or wider sizes (SK, MK, LK, XLK, XXLK).FINNTRAIL Wader Size Chart

If You Are Between Two Sizes
If your measurements fall between two sizes, it is generally recommended to choose the larger size.
- Provides additional room for thermal clothing and extra layers.
- Allows greater freedom of movement while fishing or riding off-road.
- Reduces stress on seams and membrane materials during active use.
Recommendation Before Ordering
Best results: Provide your height, largest body girth and inseam measurement. Based on these measurements, the most suitable FINNTRAIL wader size can be selected accurately. If you are unsure between several sizes, we recommend contacting us before placing your order. This helps avoid exchanges and ensures maximum comfort from the very first day of use.
Summary
To accurately choose your FINNTRAIL wader size, you need three key measurements: height, largest body girth and inseam length. Selecting the correct size ensures comfort, unrestricted movement, efficient layering and a longer product lifespan.
Product Care Instructions
- Wash membrane clothing only with special detergents, such as Mountval Wash & Care, at a temperature no higher than 30 °C, without fabric softeners or bleach.
- After washing, restore water repellency using Mountval Waterproofing Refresher (wash-in) or a spray-on impregnation, following the product instructions.
- After impregnation, allow the product to dry naturally.
- Repair minor membrane damages with special glue, such as Aquaseal / Aquasure, only on clean and dry surfaces.
- Clean boots by hand, do not use a washing machine; if needed, use impregnation products designed for technical footwear.
Regular care helps maintain water repellency, breathability, and prolongs the product's lifespan.

Membrane waterproofing and breathability
Membrane fabric is usually described using two numbers, often separated by a slash: waterproofness and breathability. The first number indicates waterproofness, the second indicates breathability.
?Waterproofing
This is a sliding scale measured in mm that shows how high a column of water you can suspend over the membrane before it starts to let moisture through.
Waterproof Rating Conditions 0–10,000 mm Light rain, dry snow, light pressure. 11,000–15,000 mm Moderate rain, average snow, light pressure. 16,000–20,000 mm Heavy rain, wet snow, some pressure. 20,000 mm+ Heavy rain, wet snow, high pressure. ?Breathability
This is the amount of moisture by weight that can pass through one square metre of fabric over a period of 24 hours. It is commonly measured in g/m²/24 hrs.
Breathability Rating Level of Breathability 0–5,000 g/m²/24 hrs Low – light exercise. 5,000–15,000 g/m²/24 hrs Medium – medium to high energy activity. 15,000 g/m²/24 hrs+ High – vigorous sustained activity.
