Finntrail LIGHTSUIT Khaki 3503 Rain Suit
An ultralight waterproof rain suit (jacket and trousers) that packs down small and travels with you for fishing, hiking and riding an ATV or UTV. A HARD-TEX® membrane keeps out water and wind, taped seams and a DWR finish guard against soaking, and the thin, sturdy Ripstop with a mesh and microfleece lining stays comfortable and breathable. It is a rain and wind shell for three seasons, with no insulation.

Materials & technology
HARD-TEX® membrane
A breathable membrane keeps out water and wind (12 000 mm water column) and vents moisture from inside (7 000 g/m² per 24 h), so you stay dry in the rain without overheating.
Taped seams and DWR finish
Every seam is sealed with tape so water cannot seep through the stitching, while the water-repellent DWR finish protects the fabric surface and helps the suit dry fast.
Ultralight and compact
The sturdy Ripstop shell resists tearing yet stays light: the suit rolls up small, so it is easy to keep in a backpack and pull on the moment it starts to drizzle.
Thoughtful construction
The jacket hood with a visor adjusts in two directions, a storm flap covers the front zipper, and 3M™ reflectors improve visibility. The 3D knees and anatomic cut of the trousers give you freedom to move.
How it differs from an ordinary rain poncho
Care
Wash up to 30 °C with a dedicated membrane wash (Mountval Wash & Care), without softener or bleach: ordinary detergent clogs the membrane. When water stops beading, restore the water repellency (DWR) with an impregnator (Mountval Textile Shield). Dry naturally, not on a radiator or in the sun. Out of season store it dry and on a hanger, not compressed.

Is the suit waterproof?
Yes. The HARD-TEX® membrane keeps out water and wind, while taped seams and the water-repellent DWR finish protect you even in prolonged rain. The membrane breathes, so moisture from inside is vented and sweat does not build up under the suit.
Is the suit warm?
No, and we will not pretend otherwise: it is a thin rain and wind shell with no insulation. The warmth comes from what you wear underneath, so on a cooler day put a thermal layer under it (Finntrail thermal wear works well). Then you stay both dry and warm.
What is in the set?
The set includes both a jacket and trousers. The jacket has an adjustable hood with a visor, a front zipper with a storm flap, inner cuffs, three pockets and 3M™ reflectors. The trousers have 3D anatomic knees, adjustable hems and two pockets.

Choosing the correct FINNTRAIL suit size ensures comfort, freedom of movement, effective layering and proper protection from weather conditions. A size that is too small may restrict movement and feel tight around the chest or shoulders, while a size that is too large may reduce heat retention and overall fit.
The size chart shows body measurements, not garment measurements. FINNTRAIL gear is designed with extra room for comfort and movement, so sizing should be selected according to your body measurements.
Measure Your Chest Girth
Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the measuring tape horizontal. Stand straight and keep the tape close to the body, but not tight.
How to measure: measure around the widest part of your chest while breathing naturally and keeping your body relaxed.This measurement is especially important when choosing jackets and the upper part of a suit.
Measure Your Waist and Hips
Measure your waist at the narrowest part or where you usually wear your pants. Measure your hips around the widest part.
Important: do not pull in your stomach and do not tighten the measuring tape too much. The gear should leave enough room for movement, base layers and comfortable sitting.If you are choosing a suit or pants, hip and waist measurements are just as important as height.
Measure Inseam and Sleeve Length
Inseam is measured from the crotch to the inside of the ankle. Sleeve length helps determine whether the jacket sleeves will properly cover your arms during active movement.

If You Are Between Two Sizes
If your measurements fall between two sizes, choose according to how the gear will be used. Jackets and suits should leave enough room for base layers, while thermals should fit closer to the body without restricting movement.

- If you are choosing thermal clothing, the fit should be close but not tight.

Product Care Instructions
- Wash membrane clothing only with special detergents, such as Mountval Wash & Care, at a temperature no higher than 30 °C, without fabric softeners or bleach.
- After washing, restore water repellency using Mountval Waterproofing Refresher (wash-in) or a spray-on impregnation, following the product instructions.
- After impregnation, allow the product to dry naturally.
- Repair minor membrane damages with special glue, such as Aquaseal / Aquasure, only on clean and dry surfaces.
- Clean boots by hand, do not use a washing machine; if needed, use impregnation products designed for technical footwear.
Regular care helps maintain water repellency, breathability, and prolongs the product's lifespan.

We receive goods at our central warehouse twice per week: on Tuesdays and Fridays.

- The returned item must be unused, with all tags attached and in the original packaging.
