Why are cotton socks a poor fit for enduro boots?
Cotton soaks up sweat and stays wet for a long time, so your foot chafes and gets cold when you stop. Finntrail COOLMAX 3202 socks wick moisture away and dry quickly, so your foot stays drier.
Which COOLMAX pair should I choose: 3202 or 3205?
Choose by colour, because both have the same Coolmax fibre, a breathable stretchy knit and reinforced heel and toe zones. The colours are: 3202 in lime and grey, 3205 in pink.
Are merino socks good for riding in autumn?
In late autumn and winter, yes: EXTREME MERINO 3203 is thicker and the warmest in the line, and merino wool helps keep your temperature steady and lets moisture out. On a warmer autumn day they may be too warm.
How many pairs of socks should I take on a trip of several days?
It is most convenient to have a pair for each day and one spare. COOLMAX dries quickly, so a pair washed in the evening is ready to wear in the morning.
