How to choose
Both models are softshell, so the difference is not in the rain but in what you need protection from most. For a whole day of rain, pull rain trousers on over them.

- •Winter without an extra layer. The trousers are not insulated, so on a cold day wear a thermal layer under them.

Not in short rain or spray: Finntrail ENDURO 4610 trousers with a DWR coating withstand a 5,000 mm water column. Over several hours of downpour softshell soaks through, so then you need rain trousers on top.
Which trousers are cooler on a hot day?
Finntrail GUARD 4611 trousers are lighter: stretch softshell with a Teflon coating, no membrane. ENDURO 4610 breathes through perforated ventilation zones but is made more for cooler weather and mud.
Can the knee inserts of ENDURO 4610 be removed?
Yes, the foam inserts at the knees are removable. It is worth taking them out before washing, and when you wear your own knee protectors under the trousers so nothing presses.
How do I match the trousers with enduro boots?
The leg hems of ENDURO 4610 are adjustable and fit around your boots, while GUARD 4611 has elastic cuffs. That way less mud and sand gets into your boots.
