What should you wear under waders and a jacket on a cool day?
Thermal fishing clothing means layers that hold warmth when you stand in cool water or the wind blows off the lake. Thermal underwear goes next to the skin, fleece trousers or a jumper over it, and a light MASTER jacket or vest under a membrane jacket. Choose your layers by how much you move and whether you stand in the water. When wading, the bottom half matters most; when sitting in a boat, the top.

Frequently asked questions
How many layers should I wear under waders in spring?
Usually two: thermal underwear next to the skin and fleece trousers, for example POLAR 1400. On a warm day the underwear alone is enough. When choosing your wader size, try them on with both layers.
Can a fleece jumper replace a jacket by the water?
On a dry, calm day, yes: POLAR JACKET 1391 has a high collar and several pockets. But fleece does not stop rain, so by the lake always keep a membrane jacket in your backpack.
Which MASTER jacket should I wear under a wading jacket?
If the wading jacket has its own hood, MASTER 1509 without a hood is enough. MASTER HYBRID 1507 has stretch side panels that do not get in the way when you raise your arms to cast, and MASTER HOOD 1504 and 1510 have an integrated hood.
Is a merino set suitable for a fishing trip of several days?
Yes, MERINO 6209 wool is naturally antibacterial, so it smells less when there is nowhere to wash the set. Wash it on a wool cycle without fabric softener and dry it flat.
