Which socks should you wear under waders?

Should I wear one pair of socks or two under waders?
One pair of functional socks is usually enough. Two pairs squeeze the foot inside the wader sock and boot, and a squeezed foot gets cold faster. If it is cold, choose one thicker pair of EXTREME MERINO 3203.
How does COOLMAX 3202 differ from COOLMAX 3205?
According to the descriptions they are the same: Coolmax fibre, a breathable stretch construction, reinforced heel and toes. The difference is the colour: 3202 comes in Lime and Grey, 3205 in Pink.
Are merino socks suitable for summer fishing?
EXTREME MERINO 3203 is too warm for summer, because it is made for deep winter and hard frost. In the warm season choose COOLMAX under your waders and save the merino for cold autumn water.
Why do my socks get damp inside waders if the waders do not let water in?
It is sweat, not river water. A neoprene sock does not breathe, so moisture stays inside. Functional socks wick it away from the skin, so your foot stays warmer than in cotton socks.
