- •Protecting your back and shoulders from impact. The reinforced areas are made for abrasion; the jackets have no protectors.

Does a wading jacket get in the way of handling a quad?
No, as long as you choose the size with the layers you will wear underneath. The anatomical cut and adjustable cuffs let you turn the handlebars freely, and the lightest of all is ATHLETIC 4024.
How does MUDWAY differ from GREENWOOD when riding?
MUDWAY 2010 and 2018 have an integrated belt, two waterproof chest pockets and a detachable hood, so they suit frequent fords better. GREENWOOD 4021 is simpler: side pockets with YKK Aquaguard and Velcro cuffs.
Where should I keep my phone when riding through a ford?
In a chest pocket with a waterproof zip, above the water. The pockets withstand rain and spray but cannot be submerged, so it is worth putting your phone in a sealed case as well.
How do I clean mud off the jacket?
Let the mud dry, brush it off with a soft brush and rinse off the rest with warm water. The DWR coating wears off over time; you can restore it with a proofing spray from our care products.
Can a wading jacket be combined with rain trousers?
Yes. When there are no fords, wear the jacket with membrane rain trousers or bib trousers from the rain suits section: together they keep out mud spray from head to boots.
