Finntrail NORDIC Graphite 2941 Winter Mittens
Warm mittens with a double HARD-TEX® membrane, built for off-road, quad biking and winter use in hard cold. A double HARD-TEX® membrane with a DWR finish keeps out wind and moisture, THERMALRATE® insulation holds the heat, and reinforced palm and thumb zones with a soft fleece lining add durability and comfort. An anatomical cut and long adjustable cuffs keep snow out.
Who it is for
Made for long spells in the cold, when you need a dependably warm, windproof glove for active winter use.
- •For off-road and quad biking.
- •For winter trips and outdoor work.
- •For general winter use when warmth matters most.
When it shines
Best in deep winter cold, when warmth matters most and finger dexterity matters less. In a mitten the fingers share warmth, so your hand stays warm longer than in a fingered glove.
Technical specs
Materials & technology
Double HARD-TEX® membrane
A breathable double membrane keeps out water and wind and vents moisture from inside, so your hand stays dry and warm on snow and in the wet.
THERMALRATE® insulation
Thermal insulation holds warmth close to the hand even in hard cold and springs back quickly after being compressed.
Reinforced shell and fleece lining
The durable, abrasion-resistant shell with reinforced palm and thumb zones lasts a long time, while the soft fleece lining adds comfort.
Anatomical cut and long cuffs
The anatomical cut lets the hand bend easily, while long adjustable cuffs with reflective elements keep snow out and improve visibility.
How they differ from ordinary winter gloves
Care
Hand wash in cool water on a gentle setting, without fabric softener or bleach. To keep water beading off the surface, refresh the DWR finish with a proofer now and then. Dry at room temperature, away from radiators.
Frequently asked questions
Are these mittens or fingered gloves?
These are mittens. In a mitten the fingers stay together and share warmth, so it is warmer than a fingered glove, though it gives you less finger dexterity.
What cold are they good for?
Made for active winter use in hard cold: the double HARD-TEX® membrane blocks the wind and THERMALRATE® insulation holds the heat. Real-world warmth also depends on movement and whether your hand stays still for long.
Are the gloves waterproof?
Yes. The double HARD-TEX® membrane keeps out water and wind, and the DWR finish sheds moisture from the surface, so your hand stays dry on snow and in the wet.
How do I care for them and restore water repellency?
Hand wash in cool water on a gentle setting, without fabric softener or bleach. When water stops beading off the surface, refresh the DWR finish with a proofer and dry at room temperature, away from radiators.

How to Choose the Correct FINNTRAIL Men’s Glove Size
Choosing the correct glove size is important for comfort, grip, and precise hand movement. Gloves that are too small may compress the palm, restrict finger movement, and wear out faster, while gloves that are too large may reduce control, slip on the hand, and interfere with active use.
FINNTRAIL glove size is selected according to palm circumference in centimeters. Measure around the palm, just below the knuckles, without including the thumb.
Measure Your Palm Circumference
Wrap the measuring tape around the widest part of your palm, just below the knuckles. Do not include the thumb in the measurement.
How to measure: keep your hand relaxed, with the measuring tape close to the palm, but not tight enough to press into the skin.If you measure both hands and the circumference differs, choose the size according to the larger hand.
Select Your Size Using the Chart
Compare your palm circumference with the FINNTRAIL glove size chart. If your measurement falls between two sizes, choosing the larger size is usually more practical.
Size Palm Circumference, cm S 19–20 M 21–22 L 23–24 XL 25–26 Why Is the Correct Glove Size Important?
Gloves should fit securely around the hand without restricting movement. The correct size allows you to comfortably hold a fishing rod, handlebar, tools, or other equipment.
Important: gloves that are too tight may restrict circulation and reduce warmth, while gloves that are too loose may reduce grip and control accuracy. When Should You Choose a Larger Size?
- If your palm circumference falls between two sizes.
- If you prefer a slightly looser fit.
- If you will wear the gloves for long periods and maximum comfort is important.
- If you plan to wear a thin liner glove underneath.
Recommendation: for active use, choose a size that fits securely on the hand without restricting finger movement.Recommendation Before Ordering
Before ordering FINNTRAIL gloves, measure your palm circumference in centimeters and compare it with the size chart. Measure accurately around the palm, below the knuckles, without including the thumb.
Best result: provide your palm circumference in centimeters. This measurement allows the most accurate FINNTRAIL glove size recommendation.Summary
To choose the correct FINNTRAIL men’s glove size, the key measurement is palm circumference in centimeters. Wrap the measuring tape around the palm below the knuckles, without including the thumb. Correctly sized gloves provide comfort, reliable grip, and unrestricted movement.

Membrane waterproofing and breathability
Membrane fabric is usually described using two numbers, often separated by a slash: waterproofness and breathability. The first number indicates waterproofness, the second indicates breathability.
?Waterproofing
This is a sliding scale measured in mm that shows how high a column of water you can suspend over the membrane before it starts to let moisture through.
Waterproof Rating Conditions 0–10,000 mm Light rain, dry snow, light pressure. 11,000–15,000 mm Moderate rain, average snow, light pressure. 16,000–20,000 mm Heavy rain, wet snow, some pressure. 20,000 mm+ Heavy rain, wet snow, high pressure. ?Breathability
This is the amount of moisture by weight that can pass through one square metre of fabric over a period of 24 hours. It is commonly measured in g/m²/24 hrs.
Breathability Rating Level of Breathability 0–5,000 g/m²/24 hrs Low – light exercise. 5,000–15,000 g/m²/24 hrs Medium – medium to high energy activity. 15,000 g/m²/24 hrs+ High – vigorous sustained activity.
