Which jacket should you wear when wading in waders?

Can I wear a wading jacket without waders?
Yes, on the bank or in a boat it works like an ordinary membrane rain jacket. It just covers less than a long coat, so when you sit through a downpour your hips and knees will need rain trousers.
What size wading jacket should I take for wearing over waders?
Try it on with your waders and a fleece layer. The jacket should close easily over the chest part and braces of the waders, and your arms should lift to cast without pulling across the back. Size charts are in our size guide.
What is the D-ring on a wading jacket for?
You clip a landing net or tool to the D-ring so your hands stay free while wading. SPEEDMASTER 4029 has such a ring, and PROGUIDE 4031 has one by its waterproof pockets.
