Which gloves should you take on a hike or into the forest?

- •Downpours in softshell. The DWR coating of VENOM 2706 and OPTYMUS 2702 only repels light rain; for a rainy day choose the membrane GT 2790 or IMPACT 2712.
- •A cold winter morning in ATOM 2842 or ENDURO 2732. They have no insulation, so in the cold your hands will freeze quickly.
- •A long summer hike in the sun in neoprene. Neoprene does not breathe, so on a hot day your hands will sweat.
- •Sun protection. No UPF is stated for these gloves; the gloves in the UV protection section have it.

Which gloves are good for mushroom picking?
The neoprene NEOGUARD 2740. In the morning the grass and mushrooms are wet with dew, and neoprene keeps you warm even when wet, while the silicone palm grips firmly. If you need nimble fingers, choose NEOSENSOR 2731 with three open fingertips.
Can I take photos with my phone on a hike without taking my gloves off?
Yes, the thumb and index fingertips of VENOM 2706 work with a touchscreen, and ATOM 2842 has this feature too. OPTYMUS 2702 uncovers your fingers with one hand, so you can take a photo in a few seconds.
Which gloves are the warmest for a winter walk?
In this collection the warmest are IMPACT 2712: a membrane and Thermalrate insulation, rated by the maker down to −15 °C. For dry cold VENOM 2706 with a microfleece inside also works, likewise down to −15 °C.
Which gloves should I take on an autumn hike of several days?
It is most practical to have two pairs: light or neoprene gloves for the day, and the membrane GT 2790 for rain and the cool evening. While you wear one pair, the other has time to dry at camp.
