Finntrail ATLAS W Graphite 4613 Insulated Women’s Pants
Warm membrane winter pants for the woman who spends winter outdoors, not by the window. A 2.5-layer HARD-TEX® membrane with Thermalrate insulation, a microfleece-lined waist and reinforced wear zones: protection from cold, wind and moisture that still breathes and lets you move even when active.
Who they are for
Made for the active woman who rides a snowmobile or ATV in winter, or simply spends long hours outdoors and doesn’t want to get cold.
- •Snowmobiling and ATV riding, when cold and wind won’t stop you.
- •Ice fishing and outdoor work, when you have to stay out in the cold for long.
- •Active winter leisure, where warmth and freedom of movement matter together.
When they shine
They perform best in real winter, below-zero temperatures, on a snowmobile or ATV, where uninsulated pants leave you cold and a plain rain shell doesn’t breathe and restricts movement.
Technical specs
Materials & technology
HARD-TEX® 2.5-layer membrane
A microporous membrane with billions of pores smaller than a water drop and larger than a vapour molecule: it stops moisture and wind from outside yet lets sweat vapour escape, so you don’t overheat.
Thermalrate insulation
A synthetic insulation with high thermal retention, good compression and resilience: it holds warmth below zero without making the pants bulky.
Microfleece-lined waist and pockets
A soft microfleece lining at the waist adds warmth and comfort, while the pocket lining warms your hands in the cold.
Reinforced wear zones
A reinforced seat and lower legs withstand heavy use on a snowmobile and ATV, so the pants last longer.
How they differ from a cheaper option
Care
Wash up to 30 °C with a dedicated membrane wash (e.g. Mountval Wash & Care), without softener or bleach. Restore the water repellency (DWR) with Mountval Waterproofing Refresher. Dry naturally, not on a radiator. Repair minor membrane damage with a dedicated adhesive (Aquaseal / Aquasure) on a clean, dry surface.
Frequently asked questions
Are these warm pants good for snowmobiling?
Yes, that’s exactly what they’re made for. Thermalrate insulation and the HARD-TEX® membrane protect from cold, wind and moisture, while the reinforced seat withstands heavy use on a snowmobile and ATV.
Will I sweat if I’m active?
No. The membrane breathes (breathability 7,000 g/m²/24h) and lets sweat vapour out, while keeping cold and moisture off from outside, so you stay dry and warm even when active.
What is the waterproof rating?
The membrane is 2.5-layer HARD-TEX®, water resistance 12,000 mm, breathability 7,000 g/m²/24h, with a water-repellent surface finish. Snow and moisture stay out.
Is this a women’s cut?
Yes. ATLAS W is a women’s line with an anatomical cut shaped for the female figure, ensuring freedom of movement and comfort.
Where do I keep keys or a safety switch?
The pants have a D-ring, handy for attaching keys or a snowmobile safety switch, plus pockets with water-resistant zippers.

Water resistance12 000 mmHow to choose the right FINNTRAIL women’s pants size?
Choosing the correct women’s pants size ensures comfort, freedom of movement and a proper fit during active use.
The size chart shows body measurements, not the actual garment dimensions. FINNTRAIL pants are designed for comfortable movement and allow room for additional base layers.
Measure your height
Height should be measured while standing straight, from the feet to the top of the head. This measurement helps evaluate the overall pants length.
Tip: height is especially important when choosing pants for active movement or wearing with thicker footwear.Measure your waist
Waist circumference should be measured around the narrowest part of your waist. The measuring tape should sit close to the body without being too tight.
Measure your hips
Hip circumference should be measured around the fullest part of your hips. This is one of the most important measurements when choosing women’s pants.
Measure your inseam
Inseam length is measured from the crotch to the inside of the ankle. This measurement helps determine whether the pants length will match your height.
Important: if your measurements fall between two sizes, we recommend checking waist, hips and inseam correspondence before choosing the final size.Women’s pants size chart in centimetres

M LStandard sizes for women with an average body build.
SQ MQ LQWider sizes for larger waist or hip measurements.
XL XXLLarger sizes for taller women and larger body measurements.
Recommendation
If your measurements fall between two sizes, it is usually recommended to choose the larger size. This provides more freedom of movement, improves comfort with base layers and makes the pants better suited for active use.

Membrane waterproofing and breathability
Membrane fabric is usually described using two numbers, often separated by a slash: waterproofness and breathability. The first number indicates waterproofness, the second indicates breathability.
?Waterproofing
This is a sliding scale measured in mm that shows how high a column of water you can suspend over the membrane before it starts to let moisture through.
Waterproof Rating Conditions 0–10,000 mm Light rain, dry snow, light pressure. 11,000–15,000 mm Moderate rain, average snow, light pressure. 16,000–20,000 mm Heavy rain, wet snow, some pressure. 20,000 mm+ Heavy rain, wet snow, high pressure. ?Breathability
This is the amount of moisture by weight that can pass through one square metre of fabric over a period of 24 hours. It is commonly measured in g/m²/24 hrs.
Breathability Rating Level of Breathability 0–5,000 g/m²/24 hrs Low – light exercise. 5,000–15,000 g/m²/24 hrs Medium – medium to high energy activity. 15,000 g/m²/24 hrs+ High – vigorous sustained activity.
