    What is this product and who is it for?

    Mountval Odour Absorber 100 ml is a spray-on odour neutralising and freshening product. It is intended for the inside of all types of footwear, above all hiking boots, inline skates, ice skates, ski and snowboard boots, and also for freshening the outer surfaces of sports clothing and tents. It neutralises and absorbs unpleasant odour and leaves a scent with citrus notes.

    What problem does it solve?

    You usually cannot wash the inside of sports and hiking boots, so the odour builds up and comes back the next day, even when the boots have been dried. Mountval Odour Absorber 100 ml is sprayed straight into the boot and on the insoles, so it works where a detergent never reaches. An important limit: this is not a detergent and not a biocidal product.

    Textile has to be tested on a hidden area first, before spraying.

    How do you use it step by step?

    Step 1

    Take the insoles out.

    Step 2

    Spray the insoles and the inside of the boots evenly.

    Step 3

    Leave them to dry.

    Step 4

    Dry and air the item fully before wearing it.

    Step 5

    Repeat between full cleanings, when the odour comes back.

    There is no need to spray heavily: what matters is covering the insole and the inside of the boot evenly.

    What is this product not suitable for?

    • •This is not a detergent. The product does not remove dirt and stains.
    • •This is not a biocidal product. It neutralises odour, but we make no hygiene claims of that kind for it.
    • •Do not spray on the skin, the eyes or mucous membranes. This is a safety instruction from the manufacturer.
    • •Not suitable for washable clothing. For base layers and underwear Mountval Silver Freshness 315 ml is a better fit.

    No. It is an odour neutralising product. We make no biocidal or hygiene claims for it, because the manufacturer gives no biocidal authorisation.

    Do I need to take the insoles out?

    Yes. The manufacturer says to take the insoles out, spray them and the inside of the boots, and then leave them to dry.

    Is it suitable for ski boots?

    Yes. Ski and snowboard boots, ice skates and inline skates are named directly by the manufacturer.

    How does it differ from Silver Freshness?

    Odour Absorber is sprayed where washing is not possible, while Mountval Silver Freshness 315 ml is used in the rinse cycle for washable clothing.

    Can I spray a tent?

    Yes, the manufacturer names the outer surfaces of tents. Test sensitive textile on a hidden area first.
