Finntrail OUTDOOR W LightBlue 1311 Rain Jacket
A lightweight women’s membrane jacket that is always with you and waits for the downpour. A HARD-TEX® membrane with a DWR finish and fully taped seams: reliable protection from rain and wind that still breathes, stays comfortable and lets you move.
Who it is for
Made for the traveller, hiker and angler who wants light, comfortable rain protection for changeable weather.
- •Hikes and weekend trips when the weather is unpredictable.
- •Fishing and the outdoors, when you need quick cover from rain and wind.
- •City and everyday wear, where light weight and freedom of movement matter.
When it shines
It performs best in a changeable autumn and spring, on hikes, trips and in the city where rain can hit any moment and a cheap raincoat leaves you sweaty inside or restricts movement.
Technical specs
Materials & technology
HARD-TEX® membrane
A microporous membrane with billions of pores smaller than a raindrop and larger than a vapour molecule: it stops water from outside yet lets sweat vapour escape, so you don’t overheat.
DWR finish
A thin water-repellent finish on the outer layer: rain beads and rolls off, the fabric wets out less and dries faster.
Fully taped seams
Taped strips seal the needle holes so water cannot get in through the seams.
How it differs from a cheaper option
Care
Wash up to 30 °C with a dedicated membrane wash (Mountval Wash & Care), without softener or bleach: ordinary detergent clogs the membrane. When water stops beading, restore the water repellency (DWR) with an impregnator (Mountval Textile Shield). Dry naturally, not on a radiator or in the sun. Out of season store it dry and on a hanger, not compressed.
Frequently asked questions
Does this jacket breathe, or will I sweat?
It breathes: breathability is 10,000 g/m²/24h. The HARD-TEX® membrane lets sweat vapour out while keeping rain off from outside, so you stay dry inside even when active.
Is it good for hiking, fishing and the city?
Yes. This is a versatile lightweight women’s rain jacket for hiking, travel, fishing and the city, where rain protection, comfort and freedom of movement matter most.
What is the waterproof rating?
The membrane is HARD-TEX®, water resistance 12,000 mm, breathability 10,000 g/m²/24h, seams fully taped, surface treated with a DWR finish.
Is the jacket light and easy to travel with?
Yes. It is a lightweight membrane jacket with an ergonomic cut and functional pockets, so it doesn’t restrict movement and packs along easily.
How do I care for a membrane jacket?
Wash up to 30 °C with a dedicated membrane wash (Mountval Wash & Care), without softener, and restore the water repellency with an impregnator (Mountval Textile Shield). Dry naturally, away from radiators: proper care keeps both the waterproofing and the breathability.

How to choose the right FINNTRAIL women’s jackets size?
Choosing the correct women’s jacket size ensures comfort, freedom of movement and proper performance during active use.
The size chart shows body measurements, not the actual garment dimensions. FINNTRAIL gear is designed with enough room for base layers while maintaining comfortable movement.
Measure your chest
Chest circumference should be measured around the fullest part of the chest while keeping the measuring tape horizontal and comfortably fitted.
Tip: take measurements while wearing light underwear or a thermal layer if you plan to wear it under the outer garment.Measure your waist
Waist circumference should be measured around the narrowest part of your waist. This measurement helps evaluate whether the jacket, suit or thermal wear will fit correctly.
Measure your inseam
Inseam length is measured from the crotch to the inside of the ankle. This measurement is important when choosing suits, pants or thermal base layers.
Important: if your measurements fall between two sizes, also check chest, hips, sleeve length and inseam correspondence.Women’s jackets, suits and thermals size chart in centimetres

Membrane waterproofing and breathability
Membrane fabric is usually described using two numbers, often separated by a slash: waterproofness and breathability. The first number indicates waterproofness, the second indicates breathability.
?Waterproofing
This is a sliding scale measured in mm that shows how high a column of water you can suspend over the membrane before it starts to let moisture through.
Waterproof Rating Conditions 0–10,000 mm Light rain, dry snow, light pressure. 11,000–15,000 mm Moderate rain, average snow, light pressure. 16,000–20,000 mm Heavy rain, wet snow, some pressure. 20,000 mm+ Heavy rain, wet snow, high pressure. ?Breathability
This is the amount of moisture by weight that can pass through one square metre of fabric over a period of 24 hours. It is commonly measured in g/m²/24 hrs.
Breathability Rating Level of Breathability 0–5,000 g/m²/24 hrs Low – light exercise. 5,000–15,000 g/m²/24 hrs Medium – medium to high energy activity. 15,000 g/m²/24 hrs+ High – vigorous sustained activity.
