    Finntrail · Wading boots

Finntrail PROGUIDE Graphite 5189 Wading Boots

Top-tier wading boots with a Vibram® sole that grip firmly on the slipperiest rocks, while water drains out on its own. A Vibram® sole, a full CORDURA® upper and a high shaft with ankle stabilisation: maximum grip, protection and durability when fishing in waders, hunting or travelling across the most demanding terrain, while water drains out through the drainage ports.

    Who it is for

Made for the demanding angler, hunter and off-road enthusiast who values grip, ankle protection and longevity in the toughest conditions above all.

    • Fishing in waders, when you need the surest footing in the water and on slippery rocks.
    • Hunting and expeditions, where durability and stability matter all day long.
    • ATV and off-road across difficult, uneven terrain.
    • Those who choose top-tier materials for demanding use.

    When it shines

It performs best on the slipperiest and most demanding terrain: wet rocks, silt, mud and steep slopes. The Vibram® sole grips where an ordinary sole slips, and the full Cordura upper withstands long expeditions.

    Materials & technology

    Vibram® sole

A top-tier sole technology renowned for grip on slippery and uneven surfaces. It ensures stable footing on wet rocks, silt and steep slopes where an ordinary sole slips.

    CORDURA® upper

A tough nylon fabric resistant to abrasion and mechanical damage. The full Cordura upper extends the life of the boots even under intensive use.

    EVA insole

An elastic polymer with good cushioning: it absorbs shocks, reduces the load on the foot and lets you move comfortably during long hikes or work.

    Drainage system

Side ports release water that has got inside. A quick press of the foot and the water is gone, so the boot does not get heavier and dries faster.

    High shaft and reinforced zones

The high construction stabilises the ankle and reduces the risk of sprains, while the reinforced toe, heel and sides protect the foot from impacts on demanding terrain.

How it differs from ordinary wading boots

    Ordinary wading boots

    • Slippery sole on wet rocks and steep slopes
    • Low shaft, ankle without support
    • Water stays inside, the boot gets heavier
    • Weaker upper that wears through faster

    Finntrail PROGUIDE

    • Vibram® sole: the best grip on the slipperiest surfaces
    • High shaft with ankle stabilisation
    • Drainage ports: water drains out, the boot stays light
    • Full CORDURA® upper and reinforced zones for longevity

    Care

After use, rinse off the mud with clean water, especially the Vibram® tread and the drainage ports. Dry naturally, with the shaft open, not on a radiator or in the sun: high heat damages the adhesives and the midsole. If the inside gets damp, take out the insoles and dry them separately. Check the laces periodically and store the boots dry, in a well-ventilated place.

    Frequently asked questions

    Are these boots waterproof?

These are wading boots used with waders, not waterproof boots. Your foot is kept dry by the neoprene stocking of the waders, while the boot provides grip and protection. The boot has side drainage ports, so any water that gets inside drains out.

What makes the Vibram® sole better?

Vibram® is a top-tier sole technology renowned for grip on slippery, uneven surfaces. On wet rocks, silt and steep slopes it holds more reliably than an ordinary rubber sole, so your footing stays stable on the most demanding terrain.

Can I wear them without waders?

Yes, you can also wear the boots on their own for hunting, expeditions or off-road. Just remember that the upper is not sealed: wading deeper, water will get inside and drain out through the drainage system.

What size should I choose if I wear them with waders?

Wading boots are worn over the neoprene stocking of the waders, and their sizing is already adjusted to be worn with a 4 mm neoprene stocking, so choose your usual size. If you are unsure, message us and we will help you pick.

Do the boots handle intensive use?

Yes. The entire upper is made of CORDURA® fabric, resistant to abrasion and mechanical damage, and the toe, heel and side zones are reinforced. Sturdy, adjustable laces ensure a reliable fit, and the EVA insole absorbs shocks during long use.
