Finntrail THUNDER Olive 1304 Rain Jacket
A membrane shell jacket for fishing and the outdoors when the weather turns serious. A Japanese TORAY Dermizax® membrane in a 2.5-layer fabric, 20,000 mm water resistance and 10,000 g/m²/24h breathability, fully taped seams, waterproof YKK zippers and underarm venting: protection from rain and wind that still breathes and lets you move.

When it shines

Materials & technology
TORAY Dermizax® membrane
A Japanese membrane built for active use: it holds rain and wind out while letting sweat vapour escape, so moisture does not build up inside during a long day outdoors.
2.5-layer fabric
The membrane is laminated to the outer fabric and the inside carries a protective print instead of a separate lining: a thinner, lighter construction than a fully lined shell.
DWR finish
A thin water-repellent finish on the outer layer: rain beads and rolls off, the fabric wets out less and dries faster.
Fully taped seams and YKK zippers
Taped strips seal the needle holes, while waterproof YKK zippers and the front storm flap keep moisture out of the closures.
Underarm venting
Zips under the arms open without taking the jacket off, so excess heat and vapour escape faster when the pace rises.
Laminated reinforcements
An extra layer in the highest-wear areas, applied without adding seams, so the jacket handles abrasion longer.
How it differs from a cheaper option
Care
Wash up to 30 °C with a dedicated membrane wash (e.g. Mountval Wash & Care), without softener or bleach. Restore the water repellency (DWR) with Mountval Textile Shield. Dry naturally, not on a radiator. Repair minor membrane damage with a dedicated adhesive (Aquaseal / Aquasure) on a clean, dry surface.
