How to choose the right FINNTRAIL women’s wader size?

The correct women’s wader size is essential for comfort, freedom of movement and reliable protection when moving through water, mud or difficult weather conditions.

The size chart shows body measurements, not the actual garment dimensions. FINNTRAIL waders are designed with extra room for base layers and unrestricted movement.

1Measure your hips

The first important measurement is the hip circumference. Measure around the widest part of your hips without pulling the measuring tape too tight.

Tip: if your measurement falls between two sizes, the larger size is usually more comfortable for active use.

2Measure your inseam

The inseam is measured from the crotch to the inside of the ankle. This measurement helps determine whether the wader length will match your height.

Important: choose the size not only by height, but also by waist / hip circumference and inseam length.

4How to use the size chart?

Measurement Description
Height Body height in centimetres.
Waist / Hips Body circumference measured around the widest part of the waist or hips.
Inseam Length from the crotch to the inside of the ankle.
Sock length Neoprene sock length in centimetres.

First select the size according to your waist / hip circumference, then check whether your height and inseam match the recommended range.

5What do the size markings mean?

XXS XS S

Smaller sizes for shorter height and smaller body circumference.

M L

Standard sizes for women with an average body build.

SQ MQ

Wider sizes for a larger waist or hip circumference.

XL XXL

Larger sizes for taller height and larger body circumference.

Recommendation

If your measurements fall between two sizes, it is usually recommended to choose the larger size. This provides more room for thermal layers, improves freedom of movement and reduces stress on the seams and membrane.
