How to choose the right FINNTRAIL youth snowmobile gear size?

Choosing the correct youth snowmobile gear size ensures comfort, warmth retention and freedom of movement when riding in winter conditions.

The size chart shows body measurements, not the actual garment dimensions. FINNTRAIL gear is designed with extra room for thermal base layers while allowing active movement.

1Measure the chest

Chest circumference should be measured around the fullest part of the chest while keeping the measuring tape horizontal and comfortably fitted.

Tip: for children, it is recommended to allow a little extra room for thermal layers and unrestricted movement.

2Measure the waist

Waist circumference should be measured around the narrowest part of the waist. This measurement helps ensure the gear fits properly without restricting movement.

3Measure the hips

Hip circumference should be measured around the fullest part of the hips. This measurement is important when selecting pants or overall fit.

4Measure the inseam

Inseam length is measured from the crotch to the inside of the ankle. This measurement helps determine whether the pants or overall length will suit the child's height.

Important: youth snowmobile gear should be selected according to height, chest, waist, hips and inseam measurements together.

7What do the size markings mean?

134-140

Size designed for children with a height between 134 and 140 cm.

146-152

Size designed for children with a height between 146 and 152 cm.

158-164

Size designed for children and teenagers with a height between 158 and 164 cm.

Recommendation

If the child's measurements fall between two sizes, it is usually recommended to choose the larger size. This provides more room for thermal layers, improves freedom of movement and helps the gear remain comfortable as the child grows.
