Finntrail SPEEDMASTER 1528 CamoArmy Waders
Technical waders for extreme wading fishing and off-road, where you need total protection from water. A 5-layer HARD-TEX® membrane (25,000 mm), moulded neoprene kneepads, integrated 4 mm neoprene booties reinforced with Armortex® and Kevlar®, fully taped seams and waterproof YKK® AquaGuard zippers: dry and protected even after standing in water for hours.
Who they are for
Made for the active angler and off-road enthusiast who needs rugged, dependable protection in deep and fast water, not just a simple raincoat.
- •Active wading fishing in rocky rivers and strong currents.
- •ATV/UTV and mud riding, where knee protection matters.
- •Long time in the water, when you need a 100% waterproof build that still breathes.
When they shine
They perform best in cold, deep water, rocky rivers and off-road, where cheap PVC waders leave you sweaty inside, wear through at the knees or leak at the seams.
Technical specs
Materials & technology
HARD-TEX® 5-layer membrane
A microporous membrane with pores smaller than a raindrop and larger than a vapour molecule: it holds water back even during long spells in the river, yet lets sweat vapour escape, so you don’t overheat.
Neoprene kneepads and 4 mm booties
Moulded neoprene kneepads cushion kneeling on rocks, while the integrated 4 mm neoprene booties with Armortex® and Kevlar® thread resist abrasion and keep your feet warm in cold water.
YKK® AquaGuard zippers and taped seams
Waterproof YKK® AquaGuard zippers and fully taped seams close off every possible water path, keeping the build 100% waterproof.
VentStrap 3D suspenders
Elastic, body-following suspenders and an adjustable YKK belt let you fine-tune the fit fast and move freely all day.
3M™ reflective elements
Reflect light back toward its source for better visibility at dusk and in the dark, on the water or off-road.
How they differ from a cheaper option
Care
Hand wash up to 30 °C with a dedicated membrane wash (Mountval Wash & Care), without softener or bleach: ordinary detergent clogs the membrane. When water stops beading, restore the water repellency (DWR) with an impregnator (Mountval Textile Shield). Dry naturally, not on a radiator or in the sun. Rinse the neoprene socks with fresh water after fishing and dry them well.
Frequently asked questions
Are boots included in the price?
No. These are stockingfoot waders: they have integrated 4 mm neoprene booties at the bottom, and you choose and buy the wading boots separately. The neoprene sock wraps the foot precisely, so the boot fits comfortably and blister-free.
Do they really stay dry when standing in the river for a long time?
Yes. The membrane is 5-layer HARD-TEX®, water resistance 25,000 mm, all seams fully taped, and the YKK® AquaGuard zippers are waterproof, so you stay dry even during long wading sessions.
Do the waders breathe, or will I sweat?
They breathe: breathability is 7,000 g/m²/24h. The HARD-TEX® membrane lets sweat vapour out, so moisture doesn’t build up inside when you’re active, unlike plain PVC waders.
What protects the knees off-road and on rocks?
Moulded neoprene kneepads and a reinforced lower section. The neoprene booties are strengthened with Armortex® and Kevlar® thread, so they resist abrasion on rocks and off-road.
How do they stay on, and are they comfortable?
The waders have VentStrap 3D suspenders and an adjustable belt with a YKK buckle, so you can fine-tune the fit quickly. Included: a waterproof case for your phone or documents and a carry bag.
How do I care for membrane waders?
Hand wash up to 30 °C with a dedicated membrane wash (Mountval Wash & Care), without softener, and restore the water repellency with an impregnator (Mountval Textile Shield). Rinse the neoprene socks with fresh water and dry naturally, away from radiators: proper care keeps both the waterproofing and the breathability.

Water resistance25 000 mmHow to Choose the Correct FINNTRAIL Wader Size?
Choosing the correct wader size is one of the most important factors for comfort, freedom of movement and long-term durability. Waders that are too small may restrict movement and place excessive stress on seams, while oversized waders may reduce comfort and make active movement less efficient.
FINNTRAIL waders are designed to provide enough room for thermal and insulating layers while maintaining complete freedom of movement. Therefore, the size chart is based on body measurements, not the actual dimensions of the waders.
Measure Your Largest Girth
The first and most important measurement is your largest body girth. In most cases, this is either your hips or waist/stomach circumference, depending on which area is larger.
Measure: around the widest part of your body while keeping the measuring tape comfortably snug without tightening it.This measurement usually determines whether your waders will remain comfortable while walking, sitting, climbing or taking large steps.
Measure Your Inseam Length
The second important measurement is the inseam length.
Measure from the crotch down to the ankle along the inside of the leg. This measurement helps determine whether the wader length will be suitable for your height.
Important: If you are taller or shorter than average for your body circumference, consider choosing extended sizes (ML, LL, XLL) or wider sizes (SK, MK, LK, XLK, XXLK).FINNTRAIL Wader Size Chart

If You Are Between Two Sizes
If your measurements fall between two sizes, it is generally recommended to choose the larger size.
- Provides additional room for thermal clothing and extra layers.
- Allows greater freedom of movement while fishing or riding off-road.
- Reduces stress on seams and membrane materials during active use.
Recommendation Before Ordering
Best results: Provide your height, largest body girth and inseam measurement. Based on these measurements, the most suitable FINNTRAIL wader size can be selected accurately. If you are unsure between several sizes, we recommend contacting us before placing your order. This helps avoid exchanges and ensures maximum comfort from the very first day of use.
Summary
To accurately choose your FINNTRAIL wader size, you need three key measurements: height, largest body girth and inseam length. Selecting the correct size ensures comfort, unrestricted movement, efficient layering and a longer product lifespan.
Product Care Instructions
- Wash membrane clothing only with special detergents, such as Mountval Wash & Care, at a temperature no higher than 30 °C, without fabric softeners or bleach.
- After washing, restore water repellency using Mountval Waterproofing Refresher (wash-in) or a spray-on impregnation, following the product instructions.
- After impregnation, allow the product to dry naturally.
- Repair minor membrane damages with special glue, such as Aquaseal / Aquasure, only on clean and dry surfaces.
- Clean boots by hand, do not use a washing machine; if needed, use impregnation products designed for technical footwear.
Regular care helps maintain water repellency, breathability, and prolongs the product's lifespan.

Membrane waterproofing and breathability
Membrane fabric is usually described using two numbers, often separated by a slash: waterproofness and breathability. The first number indicates waterproofness, the second indicates breathability.
?Waterproofing
This is a sliding scale measured in mm that shows how high a column of water you can suspend over the membrane before it starts to let moisture through.
Waterproof Rating Conditions 0–10,000 mm Light rain, dry snow, light pressure. 11,000–15,000 mm Moderate rain, average snow, light pressure. 16,000–20,000 mm Heavy rain, wet snow, some pressure. 20,000 mm+ Heavy rain, wet snow, high pressure. ?Breathability
This is the amount of moisture by weight that can pass through one square metre of fabric over a period of 24 hours. It is commonly measured in g/m²/24 hrs.
Breathability Rating Level of Breathability 0–5,000 g/m²/24 hrs Low – light exercise. 5,000–15,000 g/m²/24 hrs Medium – medium to high energy activity. 15,000 g/m²/24 hrs+ High – vigorous sustained activity.
